Legal
Terms & Conditions
1Agreement and eligibility
These Terms govern access to the RYDO website and the RYDO rider and captain apps (together, the “services”). By registering or using a service, a user agrees to these Terms and to the policies linked from this website. Users must provide accurate information and meet the legal eligibility requirements for the service they use. These Terms are issued by RYDO TRANSPORT TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED, and support is available at support@rydoind.in.
2RYDO’s role
RYDO operates a booking platform that connects riders with captains who provide transport and delivery services. RYDO’s role in each service is determined by what it actually does and by applicable law, not by the label used in these Terms, and nothing in these Terms limits any responsibility that the law places on RYDO. Captains remain responsible for their licences, permits, insurance, vehicle compliance and safe driving.
3Accounts and acceptable use
Users must protect account credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorised access. Prohibited conduct includes fake accounts, fraudulent bookings, harassment, discrimination, threats, fare manipulation, misuse of promotions, unlawful activity, interference with the app, scraping or unauthorised access to systems, and misuse of another person’s data. Users must not impersonate another person or submit false documents.
4Bookings, availability and pricing
Booking availability, arrival estimates and trip duration can change due to traffic, weather, demand, network conditions and captain availability. The app shows the estimated fare and applicable fees before a booking is confirmed. An estimate is not a guaranteed fixed fare unless the app says so, and the final receipt explains any material adjustment. See the Fare & Pricing Policy.
5Suspension, termination and disputes
RYDO may investigate credible reports of fraud, safety concerns, unlawful conduct or material breach of these Terms. Any restriction will be proportionate and consistent with applicable law, and a user can ask for a review by contacting support@rydoind.in. Users can close their account by contacting support, and outstanding payments remain due. Complaints are handled under the Grievance Redressal Policy. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
6Changes to these Terms
RYDO may update these Terms and will communicate material changes with the notice or consent required by law. Where appropriate, RYDO keeps a record of the version each user accepted. The current Terms, with their version and date, are always available on this page, and RYDO does not rely on a disclaimer to remove mandatory consumer rights.
7Information and user responsibilities
Users must provide accurate account and booking information, keep authentication details secure and promptly report suspected account misuse. RYDO may ask for reasonable information needed to verify an account or resolve a dispute, but will never ask for a password, UPI PIN, card PIN or one-time password.
8Third-party services
Some functions rely on payment, mapping, messaging or other external providers, whose availability and terms may differ. The material providers RYDO uses are identified in the Privacy Policy, and each party is responsible for its own part of the service.
9Intellectual property and platform misuse
RYDO names, logos, app content and software may be protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Users may not copy, reverse engineer, interfere with, scrape or misuse the platform except as permitted by law or written authorisation. Nothing in this section removes rights that cannot legally be restricted.
10Force majeure and service interruptions
Service may be interrupted by network outages, severe weather, public emergencies, cyber incidents or other events beyond reasonable control. RYDO will communicate material disruption where practical and will still meet obligations that cannot legally be excluded.
11Notices and governing law
Formal notices to RYDO should be sent to support@rydoind.in. RYDO may give notices to users through the app, the website or the contact details on their account. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and nothing in them limits any mandatory consumer remedy.
