Fare & Pricing Policy

1Fare components

Before a booking is confirmed, the app shows a fare estimate. A ride fare is made up of a base fare and a per-kilometre rate for the vehicle class, plus a flat convenience fee charged to the rider. Delivery fares also include a charge based on the weight of the package. Taxes, tolls or other charges, where they apply, are disclosed before confirmation. An estimate is not a guaranteed price unless the app says it is fixed, and material charges are never hidden in unrelated screens.

2Fare card

The table below shows the indicative minimum or base fare and the per-kilometre charge for each service category. Service categories are introduced city by city, and a category appears in the app only where it is available. The exact base fare and per-kilometre rate for your booking are shown in the app before you confirm, and the fare shown at confirmation is the fare that applies, subject to the adjustments described in this policy. RYDO may revise the fare card from time to time and will update this page when it does.

3Demand and time-based pricing

RYDO fares do not rise with demand or time of day: the fare depends on the vehicle class and the distance. If RYDO ever introduces pricing that varies by demand, time, route or service category, it will explain when this can happen and show the updated amount before the rider confirms, in line with applicable transport and consumer requirements.

4Adjustments and receipts

The final fare can differ from the estimate in limited cases, such as a rider-requested destination change, a disclosed toll, or the waiting charge that applies while a captain waits at the pickup point. The final receipt shows the trip details and any material adjustment. Captains must not add undisclosed charges or ask for off-platform payment contrary to policy.

5Taxes and captain share

RYDO displays applicable taxes and fees accurately. Where required by law or licence conditions, RYDO will disclose fare-sharing and captain payout information in the app and on its website. RYDO’s commission and charges to captains are described in the Captain/Driver Agreement.

6Disputes and review

Riders and captains can challenge a fare by contacting support@rydoind.in. RYDO compares the fare calculation with the booking record, the disclosed pricing rules and any authorised adjustment, explains the outcome and corrects confirmed errors. RYDO keeps records of price changes and corrections.

7Fare transparency and confirmation

The booking screen presents the estimated or fixed price in a readable form before the user confirms. If the route, service category or another material booking detail changes, the app shows the updated price and obtains confirmation where required. RYDO keeps a dated record of the pricing rules in force for each service category and tests booking screens and receipts so that the fare shown before confirmation matches the fare calculation rules, subject to clearly disclosed adjustments and applicable law. Records of the displayed estimate and the final fare are kept.

8Promotions and discounts

Promotional prices, coupon codes, referral rewards and subscription benefits have clear eligibility, duration, redemption and expiry conditions. RYDO does not advertise a discount as universal if exclusions apply, and material limits are shown before a user commits to a booking or purchase.

9Governance and changes

RYDO approves and tests pricing changes before release and keeps versioned records of fare rules, effective dates and notices. Fare structures, subscriptions, incentives and platform fees are reviewed against current central and Tamil Nadu requirements before they are introduced and when the rules change, and before RYDO adds a service, an operating area or a new fee.
