Driver Verification Policy

RYDO TRANSPORT TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITEDCIN U49220TN2026PTC198982Version 2.0Updated October 2026

1Identity and eligibility

Before a captain can accept trips, RYDO verifies the captain’s identity, photograph, driving licence and other mandatory eligibility information for the relevant service category. RYDO conducts police or background checks where required by law or by its documented safety process, and tells the applicant about any additional check and its purpose.

2Authenticity and expiry

RYDO uses reasonable checks to identify expired, mismatched or apparently altered documents and records the expiry dates of licences, permits, insurance and other required approvals. RYDO will suspend the relevant service access if a mandatory document expires, is cancelled or cannot be verified, and restores access only after valid updated documents have been reviewed.

3Ongoing reports

Impersonation, account sharing, misconduct or eligibility concerns can be reported to support@rydoind.in. Reports involving immediate safety are prioritised, evidence is reviewed fairly and the decision is documented. Verification reduces risk but is not a guarantee that no incident can occur.

4Personal document security

Access to identity and verification records is limited to authorised personnel. Records are stored securely, full identity numbers and document images are not shown to unrelated users, and records are not used for unrelated purposes. RYDO shares records with authorities only when legally permitted or required.

5Corrections and audit

Captains can correct inaccurate details or submit renewed documents. RYDO keeps an audit trail of checks, verification status and decisions for an appropriate period, and reviews the process for accuracy, bias, data minimisation and changes in applicable requirements.

6Periodic document review

RYDO may review verification status after reports of impersonation, suspected fraud or a material change in eligibility. Re-checks are limited to legitimate purposes and applicable law, and a captain can ask for an error in a verification decision to be corrected.

RYDO tells applicants what checks are performed, why they are necessary and which providers may assist, where disclosure is required. RYDO collects only the information needed for verification, relies on an appropriate lawful basis, and avoids keeping duplicate document copies when a verified status or a limited record is enough.

8Rejection and appeal

If verification fails, RYDO explains the broad reason where legally and operationally appropriate and lets the captain correct a mismatch or submit valid updated documents. Access may be restricted while a genuine safety or legal requirement remains unresolved, but RYDO does not treat a technical error as proven misconduct without review.

9Third-party verification providers

Before using an external verification provider, RYDO assesses its reliability, security, permitted use of data and deletion practices. RYDO uses a written agreement, limits the information shared to what the check needs, and reviews the provider if its service or the legal requirements change.
